[ARCHIVED] Medicare Assistance

medicare

Dear Resident,

Navigating today's complex Medicare health insurance program can be a confusing process. So much so that you may be unsure of your choices. You might not even know how to enroll in the program! All the while, your• mailbox overflows with solicitations from insurance companies offering "the best plan."

At Senior Resources' CHOICES Program, the mission is to make a difference by cutting through needless confusion. As an outreach arm of Connecticut's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), we are dedicated to empowering, educating and assisting Medicare-eligible individuals by providing free unbiased counseling and training. We help individuals, families and caregivers make informed decisions on their health insurance and optimize their access to care and benefits.

Services are five of charge to Medicare-eligible individuals, families and caregivers of all ages and income levels. Particular attention is given to individuals with disabilities, those with low incomes, or who live in rural areas.

CHOICES counseling sessions are held either in-person, on Zoom, by phone or email. For convenient appointments, call Senior Resources Agency on Aging at (860) 887-3561, Monday — Friday from 8:30 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.

Sincerely,

Karen Goetchius, MSN, RN, CHCE Municipal Agent
