In light of the major snowstorm, there will be a parking ban from 9 pm Friday, January 28th, through 9 am, Sunday, January 30th.
Please make every effort to remove vehicles and anything else from the Town right-of-way in advance of this period. The ban may be extended longer into Sunday if storm clean-up needs demand.
Also, all Town facilities, including the Transfer Station, will be closed Saturday, January 29th.
Additionally, please note that by Town ordinance, residents must refrain from placing snow in or across roadways. This includes efforts by contractors hired by residents to attend to snow removal needs. By ordinance, residents are liable for violations by contractors they hire.
Due to the high amount of snow, there will be instances of unusual impacts in tight areas where snow storage capacity is limited. Though we will be attending to further removal of snow in certain areas in the days after the storm, residents should anticipate these additional impacts and be prepared for efforts in managing them where they affect their driveways and access to mailboxes.
