So in an effort to prevent this loss of life the American Red Cross in sponsoring a program that by you calling 1 877 287 3327 (Option 1) or e-mailing www.redcross.org/ct/schedule-a-visit the American Red Cross will schedule a convenient date with you where they will come out to your home and install up to three smoke detectors at no charge to you and they will also provide you with information on disaster prevention and planning. It is strongly encouraged that residence who need detectors in their homes take advantage of this program because the life you save may be not just your own but that of a loved one.
