[ARCHIVED] Ledyard Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program

The program is funded by the federal government and to be eligible your household income has to be equal to or less then 80% of the median household income in our area. This amount depends on your family size and currently starts at $44,750 for a one person household and increases to $84,350 for a family of 8. A complete listing is included on the attached pre-application.

Currently, our funds for the program have all been used and we are preparing an application for additional money. We compete with other towns for limited funding and a major selection criteria is a “back log” of pre-qualified applications. In this way, the State can be sure that the funds are needed and will be spent quickly.

If you have needed home repairs, I would urge you to review the enclosed information flyer and fill out the pre-application and return it in the enclosed envelope. We need your help to keep the program going in Ledyard and our funding request is due to the State in few short weeks. If successful, we anticipate that we will be making new loans in September, 2015.

Thank you for your consideration. Should you have any questions, please contact Charles Karno, Town Planner at 860.464.3215 or planner
