Several fire scenarios will give firefighters from Ledyard and Gales Ferry, in conjunction with our mutual aid partners, the opportunity to train with our new Compressed Air Foam System and practice firefighting techniques.
Although we have planned carefully to have our fire apparatus parked on the site, eliminating the need for any lane closures on Route 214, we ask that residents and visitors still utilize caution when traveling through the area. Fire-Police and signage will be in place to ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic. Brief and periodic lane closures may occur as firefighting vehicles and personnel transit to and from the area.
