With the Department staring down the gun of a couple more near-term snow events, we have shifted most of our attention to restoring the plow fleet to a fuller state of readiness. As a result of operations during and after the major snowstorm we were down six of our twelve large plow trucks and one pick-up. We are making good progress, but we will likely be down at least two large trucks and one pick-up when the next storm hits Wednesday into Thursday. This will impact the timeliness of our removal activity, especially if we are lacking more than two large trucks. Based on the projected timing of this next event, residents would already be experiencing travel condition issues at commute time Thursday, and this will only make it more difficult for us. Thank you for your patience; hopefully we will get a break from winter weather so we can catch up in many ways, including rest.
