[ARCHIVED] Join ECCD for a paddle on Poquetanuck Cove

Explore this mosaic of Long Island Sound Study priority habitats with Jean Pillo and Anne Roberts Pierson as we recount the previous efforts to protect this best remaining tidal cove of the Thames River and the current focus to develop a Conservation Action Plan with the assistance of the local communities.

On my last visit to the cove, there were fish jumping everywhere, and fish eating birds including kingfishers, great blue herons, great white egrets, osprey, an immature little blue heron and even an American bald eagle were trying to turn that opportunity into a meal.

If you want to join us, please meet us at the Royal Oaks Drive car top boat launch in Ledyard before 3 PM. Pre-registration is required. Reply to this email or call Anne Roberts Pierson at 860-464-8101 to pre-register.
