Larceny From Vehicle(s) Arrest
On October 1, 2014 at 0121 hours, the Ledyard Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Winthrop Road in the Gales Ferry section of Ledyard, for the report of an active Larceny from a motor vehicle. Police learned that an individual had entered into an unlocked vehicle, stealing change before being interrupted by the homeowner.

Once the individual was interrupted, the perpetrator fled on foot. Police utilized a Police K9 to conduct a track which led to an unoccupied home on Bluff Road. At that location police located an individual who admitted he had broken into multiple vehicles in the Gales Ferry Village. At the Bluff Road location numerous stolen items were located. As a result, the Ledyard Police Department arrested Robert Chapel DOB 11/12/1979 of no permanent address and charged him with Larceny 6th Degree and Trespassing. He was held and will be presented at GA 10 for arraignment on October 1, 2014.
