New Police Facility & Associated Improvements

The Town of Ledyard is seeking qualifications and proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms or teams of architectural and engineering firms to provide complete design services with respect to the town’s desire to construct a new Police Station and related site improvements at 737 and 741 Colonel Ledyard Highway, and to provide construction oversight and consulting services in conjunction with a Construction Manager as advisor. The project also involves demolition of several buildings and parking lot, utility and site improvements at the town Hall complex and surrounding area. The RFQ/RFP may be obtained in person at:

Meeting
A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for August 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Town Hall Annex.

Sealed Proposals
Sealed proposals will be received by the Mayor’s Office, Ledyard town Hall, 741 Colonel Ledyard Highway, Ledyard, CT. 06339, until 2 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2013. Proposals received after that time will not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder unopened. Proposals should be clearly marked “SEALED BID #2014-01.”

The Town of Ledyard reserves the right to waive any technical defects in the bids; to reject any bids which do not conform to terms and conditions described in the specifications; to reject any or all bids and to again invite bids; and waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process.

Q. There are 15 components of the proposal outlined in the RFP - may we combine or rename some of the sections or does the proposal have to be submitted exactly as outlined?
A. To help facilitate the review, we would like responses submitted as outlined in the proposal.

Firms Submitting Proposals
The Permanent Municipal Building Committee appreciates all the responses to their request for proposals. They have decided to continue the selection process, at this time, by interviewing Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. and Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC.
