Larceny from Ledyard Middle School
The Ledyard Police School Resource Officer is investigating a larceny of 4 large planters that were stolen from the front of the Ledyard Middle School. The planters were stolen sometime during the late evening hours on Thursday June 10, 2010, or sometime early Friday morning June 11, 2010. The planters contained an assortment of plants that were planted by the Life Skills students in Ms. Kardys' class. Stolen were 2 large blue planters and 2 large green planters as well as a small fir tree. The tree, plants, soil and planters were valued at over $200 Ms. Kardys had purchased the plants and planters for her students who had been caring for them daily since April.
