Narcotics Arrest
On December 1, 2009, the Ledyard Police Department, as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, arrested Justin R. Spencer (date of birth December 16, 1986) of 120 Gallup Hill Road Apartment 10D in Ledyard. Spencer was arrested at his apartment for the charges of possession of hallucinogenics, possession of hallucinogenics with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogenics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, and cultivation of hallucinogenics. Spencer was processed at Troop E in Montville and released with a court date of December 15, 2009, at GA 10 in New London.
Commercial Burglary
On December 3, 2009, at 0055 hours, the Ledyard Police Department was notified of a security alarm at the Mobil gas station located on Route 117 in Ledyard Center. On arrival officers found that entry had been made into the establishment by throwing a rock through the glass door. Ledyard Officers, along with a Connecticut State Police K9 Unit, searched the surrounding areas. Investigation revealed that a number of cartons of cigarettes were taken.
